Founded in 1872, the NHSPCA is one of the first animal welfare organization established in the USA.  While we have a solid foundation, we remain on the cutting edge in animal welfare.  In 2021, we completed a comprehensive renovation and upgrade to our animal housing and cut the ribbon on our new Veterinary Center.  It includes digital x-ray, ultrasound, in-house diagnostics, surgical suite, dental station, 3 exam rooms, an isolation area, and a spacious treatment area. The Veterinary Center is the hub for all animal care within the NHSPCA and boasts a state-of-the-art surgery suite.  By joining the NHSPCA, your talents and education will make a difference in the lives of companion animals.

Primary responsibilities include exams, treatment, monitoring and surgical care of shelter residents.  In addition, performing high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter surgeries, vaccine clinics and wellness care for community owned animals. This position reports to the Director of Animal Services while daily responsibilities are performed in coordination with our Veterinarians, Clinic Manager and clinical staff.  Ideal candidates would provide vision for expanding Veterinary Center programming in accordance with the agency’s mission.


 A valid New Hampshire Veterinarian’s license and current D.E.A or an ability to obtain one.   Self-motivated, well organized, goal orientated, and works effectively under pressure.
